The Rich Valley Public Library offers a variety of programs. Please see below for a listing of our ongoing programs.

Parents and Tots Playgroup

Wednesdays 9:45 am - 10:45 am

Parents and toddlers are invited to play, discover and make friends at this free drop-in program held at the Rich Valley Public Library. All children ages 0-6 are welcome. Snacks, juice and coffee will be provided. This program is funded by FCSS.


Story Time

Wednesdays 11:00 am - 11:45 am

Come in and join us for stories, crafts and fun at Storytime every Wednesday at the Library at 11:00 am. All children ages 0-5 are welcome to join us for this free program. Every third Wednesday of the month we will alternate between Tents and Tunnels, Play Doh, and Lego Fun!


Yoga

Tuesdays 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Join Melissa, our yoga instructor, in the Yellow Room on Tuesdays from 7:30 to 8:30 pm. Yoga is a wonderful way to stay strong and flexible for life. The fall session will be September 5, September 12, September 19, September 26, October 3 and October 10.  The cost is $60.00 for six sessions or $12 per drop in fee. Adult Whist

Every second and fourth Friday at 7:30 pm

Like playing cards? Join us every second and fourth Friday of the month in the yellow room at 7:30 pm. Cost is $2 per person.

On Saturday, September 23, 2017 Rich Valley Public Library will be showing "Wonder Woman" (Rated PG-13). Doors open at 6:00 pm and the movie will start at 7:00 pm in the Yellow Room. Admission is free. Popcorn, licorice, pop and water will be available for purchase. Please feel free to bring pillows or blankets to sit on.

Mason Jar Candle Workshop

Saturday, September 30, 2017 at 6:30 pm

Mason jar candles are a beautiful and rustic way to bring warmth to any home. As a seasonal decoration or a timeless accent, mason jars are a perfect accent and a simple craft to build a foundation from. Register by September 19th at 780-967-3525 or stop by the library for more details. Limit of 12 participants. 

The library will be collecting Mason Jars. If you have any old mason jars you wish to dispose of or recycle for a worthwhile cause, you can drop them off at the library. Thank you for your assistance!

 


 Pumpkin Carving 

Saturday, October 28, 2017 at 10:00 am

A family favourite! Come on down to the library and carve a pumpkin with family, friends or neighbors.  

Ages 0-6 will be carving from 10:00 am -12:00 pm. Children ages 7 and over will be from 1:00 -3:00 pm.

To Feel or Not to Feel - Thursday, November 2, 2017 at 7:00 pm

Change is constant. Energy is real. Learn ways to strengthen yourself by paying attention and becoming aware. Realize how situations make us feel and how we can react to improve our lives. Increase opportunity for positivity and decrease negative reactions and influences.
