Programs

The Rich Valley Public Library offers a variety of programs. Please see below for a listing of our ongoing programs.

Storytime will resume on September 5, 2018.

Wednesdays 11:00 am-11:45 am

Come in and join us for stories, crafts and fun at Storytime every Wednesday in the Library at 11:00 am. All children ages 0-5 are welcome to join us for this free program. Every third Wednesday of the month we will alternate between Tents and Tunnels, Play Doh, and Lego Fun.


Yoga will resume in October.

Tuesdays 7:30 pm-8:30 pm

Join Melissa, our yoga instructor, in the Yellow Room on Tuesdays from 7:30 to 8:30 pm. Yoga is a wonderful way to stay strong and flexible for life.  

The last Yoga session before summer will run April 24, May 1, May 8, May 15, May 22 and May 29, 2018.

The cost is $60.00 for six classes or $12 per drop in fee. Please contact the library at 780-967-3525 to register or drop in on Tuesdays.


Adult Whist will resume in October.

Every second and fourth Friday of the month at 7:30 pm

Like playing cards? Join us every second and fourth Friday of the month in the yellow room at 7:30 pm. Cost is $2 per person.

The last Whist of the season will be on April 27, 2018.


Movie Night

Thursday August 16, 2018 at 6:00 pm A Wrinkle In Time (PG)

Doors open at 5:00 pm and the movie will start at 6:00 pm in the Yellow Room. Admission is free. Concession will be available. Attendees are welcome to bring pillows or blankets.


Teen Club 

Tuesdays staring on July 3, 2018 7:00-9:00 pm

Teen Club is back! Prepare for a weekly minute to win it challenge, gaming challenges, movies and free Wi-Fi. Anyone ages 12 years and older is welcome. This program is funded by FCSS.


TD Summer Reading Club

Wednesdays starting on July 4, 2018

Ages 2-4 will run from 10:00-10:30 am.

Ages 5-8 will run from 10:30-11:30 am

Ages 9-12 will run from 11:30 am-12:30 pm.

The Summer Reading Club is back at the Rich Valley Public Library. This program is designed to encourage children to explore ides, enjoy reading, have fun and maintain literacy skills throughout the summer holidays. The theme this year is Feed Your Passion and each week we will explore a potential passion as we hold weekly challenges, crafts and of course stories and reading. This is a free program available to children from 2-12 years old so you can join us any week you want. Registration is not necessary but if you know you are participating please stop by the Rich Valley Public Library or contact us so we have enough prizes. This program is funded FCSS.
